Founder of RenewMe Therapy


Kate is a Psychotherapist, accredited mental health social worker, and founder of RenewMe Therapy. She brings over 20years of experience in the mental health field, including more than a decade providing individual and group therapy across diverse settings - from women’s health and addiction services to school counselling and refugee support.

Kate has also held senior roles in service management, leadership, and clinical

supervision, supporting teams of social workers, counsellors, and psychologists in community and mental health settings.

She works with a range of evidence-based approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Schema Therapy, CBT, Somatic Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Through RenewMe Therapy, Kate has created a practice grounded in trauma-informed care, inclusivity, and a deep respect for each individual’s healing process.

This self-paced DBT course is an extension of that vision - designed to help you build real, practical skills at your own pace, with reflective tools and supportive guidance. The course is developed by Kate and supported by the RenewMe Therapy team - each clinician carefully selected for their warmth, expertise, integrity, and commitment to client-centered care.

Q: Do I need to have done DBT before?

A: No. This course is suitable for beginners and those revisiting the skills alike. Everything you need is included.


Q: What age is this course suitable for?

A: This course is suitable for individuals aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, we recommend speaking with a parent, caregiver, or therapist to explore whether a different level of support might be more appropriate at this stage.

 

Q: How long will I have access to the course?

A: You’ll have access for one year from the date of enrollment.

 

Q: Is this a replacement for therapy?

A: No. This is a skills-based course designed to support your mental health, not replace individual therapy.


Q: How do I access my 1:1 Coaching session?

Q: What if I need more support?

A: You’re welcome to book additional 1:1 coaching sessions at an additional cost during the course if you'd like further support integrating the skills. You also have the option of seeking Individual Therapy support.
